Project overview:

This project started life as a tired, out-dated bungalow on a substantial plot in abeautiful location within West Common in Harpenden.

A new build home was proposed that centred around re-using the existingfoundations; minimising carbon footprint. It was extended to the front, sideand rear to re-orientate itself to better respond to the sun path, winddirection and shape of the plot.

The project utilised off-site construction and is finished externally withcombination of handmade brick work and charred timber cladding.
